The host was very nice, communicative and helped us a lot. When we arrived he gave us a map of the village and gave us tips for good restaurants in the area. He also allowed us to store our large luggage in the storeroom so that we had more space in our sleeping room. The sleeping room and the bath room was very clean. The breakfast was very good and contained a selfmade soup of black sesame, toast, jam, very good coffee and grapes of the region. When we left we had problems to find a taxi because of our large luggage. The host drove us by his own car to our destination (about 4km away) and didn't accept any money for the ride which would have been 5000 KRW by taxi.

The hosts were very friendly, breakfast was really good (fruits, porridge and toast with homemade jam). The house is situated very quietly in the middle of the hanok village. We had a very pleasant stay in Jeonju.

Our stay at Bu Kyung Dang was FANTASTIC ! The owner gave us recommendations on what to do and where to eat and everything he said was great! The Hanok is absolutely beautiful, it has a front garden which is perfect to enjoy breakfast in the morning sitting outside by the room. The room was really clean and it has AC, very useful for summer days. It is also very well located, walking distance to all attractions in the hanok village. We highly recommend staying at Bu Kyung Dang =)

I like the location of the hotel. At first, I didn't know where the reception is and how to announce my arrival. At top of the door, it's written everything in Korean.

No wonder this place received good reviews. Owner/staff..am not sure..was so kind enough to call and check our whereabouts as we arrived Jeonju quite late from Seoul. Upon arrival, he explained briefly about the area and most importantly inform us the must/what to eat and location, which we totally appreciate as a foodie...though he has difficulties in his explanation as he speak little English. He was not even bothered with the settlement of the rooms upon our arrival and that really makes us felt welcome. I had to remind him on the 3rd day that i have not made any payment. We also had a chance to wear Hanbok for a half day on the 2nd day - extra special deal extended for us since we were staying at their guesthouse. Their selection of Hanbok were beautiful and our hair was beautifully decorated. Totally recommend this place...unless your fussy, though....
