    I spent 7 days at this beautiful hotel located in a quiet area not far from busy Thamel. The helpful staff made me feel comfortable and at home within minutes of arriving. My room was bigger than I expected, bed was ridiculously comfy and the hot shower was the best I've had in Nepal so far. Every morning Didi prepared a delicious plate of fresh fruit and black coffee for me, making it the best start to any day. The evening receptionist was also very kind and taught me some valuable Nepali words -Thank you for that! Can not say enough wonderful things about my experience, would definitely reccomend and will come back nect time I visit Kathmandu! To the staff and the owners, thank you so much for your hospitality and making me feel at home and also for your help in getting me to my next destination.     Perfect property. Owner was super accommodating and the other staff members were lovely to deal with and very helpful. Rooms where very clean and bed was super comfortable! Just a 5 minute walk out of Thamel which was actually really nice in the end because you get out of the hustle and bustle but still close enough to get there easily if required. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are stay in the Thamel area 👍.

    We really enjoyed our stay at hotel tranquil during our trip to nepal. The building itself is pretty new which makes it really clean and comfortable both from inside and outside (best shower we had all trip!). We came here after trekking, for the last couple days before we headed back home. We felt very welcome in this hotel and had a good time talking to the staff and the manager. The people working at hotel tranquil showed a lot of interest in our personal stories which adds up to the great hospitality we experienced. The hotel is located a short ten minute walk north of thamel which lets it be a nice escape from the loud and busy kathmandu city, The hotel has a restaurant where you can get really nice food for a moderate price. All in all we would definetly recommend this place and would love to come back!

    Very clean room, comfortable bed! Nice garden to relax and drink a beer. Ekrit(who runs the hotel almost by himself) is a really good guy, helps you with everything 24/7!
