Located at the tip of the peninsula in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang, Mekong Riverview Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with views of the great Mekong River and Nam Khan River.

All rooms are equipped with high standard amenities including air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and a flat-screen TV with international channels. Featuring Swedish-made remote controlled beds, there is also an electric kettle and a refrigerator. Free toiletries and a shower can be found in the private bathroom, with some room types offering a spa bath.

Guests are offered free transportation to enjoy the pool and spa locating across from the hotel on the other side of Nam Khan River. Dishes and drinks can be sampled at the Viewpoint Cafe. The property offers a 24-hour front desk, tour information and a free shuttle service from the hotel to the town.The former royal temple of Wat Xieng Thong is next door and the National Museum is 1.1 km away.

    The facilities are lovely and I really want to give this hotel an excellent rating. BUT - see below. The rooms are well decorated and water/tea/coffee provided. All the buildings are done in the style to comply with UNESCO standards. One night there was wine in the garden and it was lovely.

    Amazing pearl in the beautiful city of Luang Prabang! Mr. Urban and his lovely team created a wonderful atmosphere and special place to relax and enjoy life! The little restaurant where the breakfast is served gives a stunning view on the Mekong. The food is great and at night time you‘ll enjoy your dinner in the light of little lanterns. The rooms are great and the team is willing to make everything possible!

    Amazing location on the river. Rooms are nice with outside space not all have river views but they are lovely as is the location of the hotel. The breakfasts are terrific and the seating is on the river with lovely views. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

    Beautiful hotel in great location. The staff were amazing. Lots of extras like a welcome drinks evening for guests and sunset cruise. Pool was great and the food also very good.

    Absolutely superb restaurant location overlooking the Mekong . Tasty breakfast with good choice. The staff were great when we asked to move to a side room away from the road - having initially booked a Riverview room. The swimming pool area is lovely BUT is not actually in the same place as the hotel. Its a short walk and golf buggy transfer away. Not a problem but if you want an impromptu swim to unwind after travelling then its not so straightforward. The hotel is literally next door to Wat Xiengthong, far and away the most impressive of Luang Prabang's temples. Also, if arriving by river, its only a 300 metre walk from the pier.

    Very nice Hotel. We stay 10 days in room 24, a good view to the Mekong. Good stuff. Nice restaurant. We will come back.
