    Este alojamiento fue un descubrimiento, reservamos sin tener mucha información previa, solo queríamos hacer noche allí para coger al día siguiente el fast boat Gede-Serangan de vuelta a Bali después de unos días por Kuta y otras zonas de Lombok. El alojamiento es para desconectar totalmente (no hay nada cercano alrededor, ni tiendas, ni restaurantes) para llegar a otras zonas de la isla puedes ir andando pero es un buen camino. No hay cajeros en TODA la isla ni en los pueblos cercanos al puerto. Son 5 bungalows casi en la orilla del mar, bastante amplios, nuevos y bien decorados. Los dueños son muy amables y nos fueron informando en todo momento de cómo llegar hasta el alojamiento desde Kuta, también nos dejaron unas gafas para hacer snorkel. Hacen falta escarpines ya que la playa está llena de coral y zonas con erizos.

    I loved the bungalows, they were beautifully designed and you could even see the ocean from the shower. Marie ran the place perfectly and her staff were very helpful. The beach was pretty quiet, on a very quiet island.

    What a peaceful spot. Mary was lovely from the time she greeted us at the beach, our boat pulled right up to the Villas. The food was well priced and delicious. The staff were lovely and tried hard to please. A beautiful spot with a village and a few restaurants near by. We stayed for 4 days and were sad to leave. The snorkelling trip we did was amazing and well priced. Over 50's special spot to relax. Peace and quiet. Good food good prices. Sunrise is amazing.

    Lovely hospitality, new and clean private bungalow right on the beach on a quiet tropical island! The location was great for snorkling and scuba trips around the south west gilis of Lombok. The food served was all delicious and reasonably priced. Marie oversaw all proceedings at Alam Karang to ensure a high quality for all guests throughout their stay and helped us organise things like trips and private transfers. We wished we could have stayed longer!

    Lovely place where you can find peace and happiness! The food was amazing, not overpriced when you realize that they have to bring everything there by boat. Stayed 4 nights, had lunch & dinner there, everything was good and we still haven't tried all dishes from the menu. Sometimes a bar nearby has livemusic, but it's not a crowded area, often we were alone at the beach. Breakfast was also good, they have a lot of homemade stuff. When you visit Gili Gede don't forget to take a snorkeling trip to the other Gilis around you.

    This place is amazing. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly, and we would wake up to a stunning view every morning. Gili Gede is peaceful and off the beaten track, which is just what we were looking for. The coral reefs around Gede are so much better than the North West Gilis.

    Beautiful interior room design! Gili Gede is a perfect location for relaxing or snorkeliing in the surrounding islands. Daily meals prepared in the restaurant are excellent and cheap (ideal for families) . Hosts are charming and always available for their guests. All is perfect!

    Getting geared up for sea and beach (snorkel, mask, shoes) on arrival. Clean, new bungalows with great hospitality and fast communication.

    Bungalow directly on the beach. No prayer wakes you up. Spotless clean. Everything is new and nicely furnished and designed. Owners so open and friendly....we were sad to leave.
