    El dueño nos permitió hacer el check in a las 5 de la mañana lo cual fue de agradecer. Nos cobró un mínimo extra. La amabilidad de todos. Da gusto viajar y encontrarse con gente que ayuda. El barrio es muy auténtico. Fuera de lo turístico.

    This was a wonderfully located residence. While you are 7km from Istanbul city centre, theres a direct bus service from the main road which is a stone's throw away. This is a historical location which has plenty of modern cafes and a rich cosmopolitan feel. Because you are not in the city centre you eat good food like a local at local prices. There's a wonderful hammam directly opposite and a mosque dating back to 1458 diagonally opposite (and its still used for the daily prayers). You can spend ages walking around this area and not get bored. The streets wind around in wonderful ways leading through great architecture and there are lots of quirky auction houses with locals selling all types of antique (junk) that you can just walk in to and sit. If you're searching for a stay of Istanbul far from the big tourist crowds but with access to the historic sites when you need to go, definitely book this location.

    Very nice cosy family hotel situated in authentic Balat. The breakfast is great and so is the service. Warm hearted people that will do anything to make your stay fabulous. I have been here here for about 6 times and all was nice.

    Excellent hotel located at the city center, extremely clean & comfortable. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Turkish tea and delights offered by their friendly staff, he made our trip more interesting with his advice & tips about the city. Supermarket, shops, restaurants are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody and make sure to try their homemade desserts! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again for going just that little step extra for the guests !!!

    Very friendly and helpful staff that responded quickly to all requests. The location is very good. A bus stop is nearby from where you can easily reach all main attractions.

    Rasim, who hosted us, went above and beyond to make the property a great place and our experience in Istanbul a wonderful one. I felt extremely comfortable as if I were at home and could not be any more impressed by this property. Balat Residence is a perfect place in Turkey if you want genuine Istanbul hospitality situated in a down-to-earth real Turkish neighbourhood. There’s no tourist traps nearby. This is where you want to be if you want the real deal.

    I could go on forever writing about my stay at Balat Residence, but I'll keep it short and simple. My trip to Turkey was off to a rough start and I ended up needing last minute accommodations. I was lucky enough to snag the last room at Balat Residence. From the moment I walked in I was met with warmth and kindness. The location could not have been better! My room was more spacious than I originally anticipated, and I had a great view from the balcony, The people I met during my stay are, hands down, the most open and friendly people I have met. The food in the cafe was perfect, and the tea was delicious! I have never drank so much tea! Balat Residence has a certain charm that needs to be experienced to believe it. I highly recommend Balat Residence if you are going to be in Turkey! I know I will be back again.

    Durant notre séjour , nous avons passer 2 nuits dans cette résidence très chaleureuse et accueillante typiquement turc a mon plus grand plaisir .Le personnel est adorable attachant et très professionnel. Ils sont disponibles à tout heure de la journée comme de la nuit. L'emplacement est très bien desservi par les transport en commun et bien situé .Une chose est sûr c'est que je pense déjà retourner à Istanbul et ne changerai pour rien au monde cette résidence très familiale .
