Absolutely love it. What Robert and Morrison have created is a gem in the middle of Cambodia. It is not the place or location (which are great) but it is the service, the genuine and warm touches that make the difference. The Cambodian guys are super friendly and they make you feel part of the family after 2 days. We will try and go back! Could not think anywhere else to stay in Battambang. Thank you! Special thanks to Sarun and Mr Ratha, superstars!

More than just an ordinary hotel and a home away. Morrison, Rob and their team are genuinely wanting to give you the best moment ever. All I can say is that it was a magical stay for me. The people I met, and the stories I heard. If you need to know, the hotel is quaintly styled with uniqueness by the owners who love life, art and food. If you insist then yes it’s well equipped. It was a melting pot for sundowners even after I checked out. I hope everyone will find it just as magical as I did.

Robert and Morrison - and their staff are amazing hosts. The inspirational mix of culinary and artistic passion they share is definitely one of the perks of the place, along with a beautifully decorated traditional Khmer building.

This is a unique, historic property with characterful rooms in the historic centre of Battambang (as a city, a very enjoyable, un-frenetic mix of historic, colonial buildings, local markets and culture, and contemporary restaurants, cafes and arts). The hosts, Robert and Morrison, and their staff, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Bric-a-Brac itself is an enjoyable mix of guest house, shop and a very laid-back street-side bar. We only wish we had planned to stay longer to enjoy the hospitality in a more leisurely way!

Best of all was the staff and host - fabulous, friendly, community-minded, generous and a font of wisdom and helpfulness when it came to advice about seeing the sights. A real slice of life full of colourful and wonderful characters, art, food and stories. Couldn't be better. Brilliant location, authentic restored colonial building with homewares store and bar underneath and beautifully decorated rooms upstairs, complete with verandah from which to enjoy the street life. Right in the heart of the action. Fabulous experience.

It's hard to categorize this property; it is perhaps one of a kind, and something that is rarely found these days. Eccentric in a way. The owners and staff tried their best to please. Two delightful, erudite, well-travelled men own the place; unfortuanely they had to leave for Phnom Penh on the second day. The staff try their best, but I think they need the watchful eyes of the bosses.

The location was perfect - right in downtown Battambang. Staff went out of their way to assist. The hotel is in a beautifully restored building, clearly with an incredible eye for detail. I moved to Bric-a-Brac after two nights at another hotel - I intended staying at Bric-a-Brac for only one night, but ended up staying for four. I think that says it all!

Can I give Bric-a-Brac 10 stars? Robert, Morrison and their team have put together a wonderful place to spend some days in Battambang. The house is beautifully decorated but at the same time keeps the character of an old charming French villa. The breakfast is served on the balcony from where you can see the Buddhist monks walking in the street. Please take some time to wander in the downstairs boutique, you'll find unique things there. We also had the warmest check out ever, when they all came outside to say goodbye to us. Amazing!
