    Atendido por el dueño, muy simpático y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitábamos, hasta nos invitó unas Caipirinhas. Muy bonita la casa y la decoración, el desayuno buenísimo. ¡Excelente host, gracias por todo!

    The house and our room were beautifully furnished and decorated, it was very comfortable and clean. During the nice breakfast with a beautiful view over Rio, we especially enjoyed the homemade mango marmalade, made of the mango tree next to our breakfast table. But what we liked best was Matthieu's hospitality : he was very friendly, helpful and gave us a lot of good advice about places to visit in the area. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa da Santa!

    A fantastic find in the Santa Teresa neighbourhood. Such a lovely place to spend our last three nights in Brazil. Matthieu was the perfect host and looked after is really well. Would highly recommend and made a nice change from hotels.

    The host Matt created a lovely stylish spot behind a inconspicuous housewall in an quiet neighborhood. It was always a pleasure to have a talk with him. Our spacious room had an open shower, an own terrace and a wide front with windows with a stunning view above Rio. The fruity breakfast at the terrace was a perfect start in every day we had in Rio.     Nice location, old villas around. Our room has small balcony with nice view and bed was very comfortable. Tasty fresh fruits for breakfast. Owner Matthieu is very nice and helpful person.

    Matt is the perfect host. Nothing is too much effort, and he is very informative. The breakfasts are amazing, with homemade preserves and cake! The bedding etc is changed regularly. Our room had a really good shower. Location is great, with a bus stop just up the road, and Ubers within 5 mins. And an excellent little bar/restaurant on the roundabout, Goya Beira.

    We just had the best time with our hosts :) They were always there to help us with information and everything we needed. The rooms are awesome and clean. And there is actually no better place for breakfast in Rio :) Highly recommended!

    The villa is spectacular! The owner did a great job recreating the historic spaces and making sure the guests enjoy every milimeter and every milisecond of their stay. Our room was spacious, with windows facing the east, and a cozy balcony was a big bonus. The lounge area outside is very cozy too - and the little monkeys coming over for a banana over breakfast were a great joy. The villa is in the picturesque neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, and the main sights in the Centre, Lapa and Gloria are within walking distance.
