Situated on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Sterkstroom River, this luxury lodge features suites with private terraces and plunge pools surrounded by the indigenous bushveld.

Each of the luxury suites at Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway is air-conditioned and the outdoor seating areas and the bathtubs offer views of the Welgevonden Game Reserve.

Clifftop's elegant dining room serves a gourmet menu whilst some meals can be enjoyed on the outdoor dining deck looking over the canyon. The wide variety of dishes are accompanied by a carefully selected range of exclusive wines.

Two daily safaris in an open safari vehicle are included. During warm months, guests can relax in the pool, while a lounge with fireplace is available for the winter.

    Peaceful, tastefully designed tree lodge overlooking wildest Africa. We ate fine food, drank fine wine, and cooled off in a plunge pool while below us zebra, kudu, impala and an elephant frolicked

    It’s all about romance, your own space, lovely staff, small lodge with big attention to every detail. Lots of fire places to enjoy the cold winters Great rangers and again everyting considered to keep you warm and energized durin the game drives in winter time FANASTIC, LOVE THIS PLACE!

    Great rooms and stunning pools. The private splash pool is a good touch for summer. Drinks were included in the package. Fantastic attention to clients. Staff really make an extra effort

    The staffs hospitality , the game drive and our game ranger , the warmth from Hazel and the other staff , the location of the lodge with very beautiful and amazing breath taking views and the splash pool and comfortable bed and room.

    Food was very good But was dissapointed in the old buildings of lodge , defnietly not 5 star ! And very expensive for what you get

    The whole experience was fantastic. Loved the decor. Tasty comfort food. The staff were lovely. Wonderful service. However our ranger, Daniel was by far the highlight of our stay. We have never had such a wonderful guide. We saw loads of animals: rhinos, elephants swimming, a leopard, a lion roaring under a bush, and 2 of the most beautiful lionesses walking right next to the vehicle hunting some water buck. What an experience! Stopping for G&T's surrounded by jackals, rhinos, baboons and different antelope - who can say they have ever done that? The afternoon drive turned into a night drive where we also got to see nocturnal animals like hares and an owl. Thank you Daniel for making our stay extra special.

    The lodge is absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. Our room was so comfortable and the outdoor shower most enjoyable. The food was delicious and Hazel and her fellow staff were really fantastic. The game drives with Jean were superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
