    The approach to the building is spectacular. Iron and ironing boards in rooms as well as hairdryers. Breakfast was outstanding. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful but even though they changed the room there wasn’t much they could do when the whole place needs an overhaul.

    Staff amazing unfortunately money is needing spend to bring this hotel back to where it should be. Carpets are faded in room and hallway, units in bedrooms chipped and unsightly. Gym - a lot of the items showing out of order signs on them and pool not much better. Pipe work above pool badly rusted and needs repainted, water dispenser in pool runs at a trickle at best! Floor in sauna round drain mouldy and dirty. Dinner standard at best - seems like a lot of the items are pre bought in and heated up. Not what we were expecting of a Nick Nairn restaurant. Couple nearest us at dinner complained about every course. Good points were the staff. They are a credit to the place. Girl at reception very informative and polite. Staff in the restaurant were exceptional. Just a shame the food didn’t match up to the level of service given out front
