    I was upgraded for free on arrival, so cannot comment on the room that I would have been given. Excellent location close to Guilin's attractions; easy to find at night. Spacious room. Separate shower & toilet. Multi-combination shower. Great toiletries. Comfy bed. Table and comfy chair. Aircon & WiFi available. Coffee maker as well as kettle; tea and coffee available. Free water and soft drinks in fridge. Free water available in the hotel. Free tea daily (many selections) in lovely decor "book room", with free tea cakes !!! Excellent breakfast buffet. Good English by reception staff. Although this was the most expensive hotel I stayed at during my 2-week holiday, at the price it was definitely worth the money; highly recommend to anyone.

    The staff, particularly the lady that organised the tours, was extremely helpful. She booked our tours, even drove us (for free) to the tour start point. They were very helpful, not a lot of English speaking (understandable) but nothing a translator app can’t handle!

    The shower was amazing. The room was clean and had everything we needed. 2 bottles of water and soft drink was replenished every day. The staff even though very limited English were happy to help with all requests we had and were very friendly.

    For a weekend alone in Guilin, the Elephant Trunk Hill Hotel is the perfect place to be. If you turn right twice you are already in the Trunk Hill park. A lot of the scenic spots of the wonderful city can be reached in a 30 to 45 minute walk. Also, there are a lot of public buses, taxis, and pleasure boats starting 5 minutes from the hotel. Beeing situated on this island also is the reason that it's very quiet at night, not only for a chinese city centre hotel. The staff was super friendly, a room change no problem. There was enough good european-style food at breakfast to survive even without chinese food - but this would be a shame, since it was tasty and fresh as well. Taxi from the airport costs 100 plus 20 Yuan toll plus 20 Yuan after 10 pm.

    Hotel muy bonito limpio con mobiliario de buen gusto y muy bien ubicado. Té gratuito en el vestíbulo. Tuvimos un pequeño problema de emergencia y el personal fue realmente servicial y lo solucionó.

    Das Hotel ist super gelegen. Restaurants sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Gleich ums Eck ist der Felsen „Elefantenrüssel“. Im Hause selber gibt es ebenfalls ein Reisebüro, das gerne weiterhilft. Auch Individualtouren sind kein Problem. Täglich gab es Wasser und Softdrinks zur freien Verfügung. Ebenfalls wird in der Book Bar Tee, Obst und kleine Kuchen serviert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Sehr gerne wieder!
