Onsen was pretty fine! Location near old street shops was nice. We had booked a different onsen for during the day but if you’re staying overnight here you probably don’t need to. It has a spa in the room and the public spa. If you’re staying in Wulai it’s worth walking from this hotel to the little train and seeing the waterfall and then taking the cable car to the park.

Decided to splurge at the end of my trip and book a room with a hot spring bath. Wulai is a very small town and very quiet, a good place just to take it easy. You have to call the front desk to turn on the hot spring water (and it's very hot!). Then ass cold water until you're comfortable. I used it before bed and after waking. Since the room will fog up quickly, there's a dehumidifier. The view is just okay - the brook looked pretty muddy in the evening but looked bluer in the morning. Dinner and breakfast is included and is very tasty. I also had snacks at the street market just outside.

The hotel offers quite a nice scenic view of Wulai. The spring bath in the rooms are nice. Breakfast is good (although we are vegetarian), they do have oriental and western choice (per set per person). Dinner is provided also about 2 choices (either steamboat or chinese dishes). we did not use the public spring bath (they give us about 2 complimentary tickets), because it is a naked pool we decided to skip it.
