Boasting a 390-year history, Funaya offers hot-spring baths, a beautiful Japanese garden and a sauna. Just 200 metres from Dogo-Onsen Train Station, it provides traditional rooms with futon bedding and tatami (woven-straw) floors.

Each air-conditioned Japanese-room at Funaya Ryokan comes with a flat-screen satellite TV, fridge and tea maker. The en suite bathroom has a bathtub and slippers.

Isaniwa Shrine and Dogo Park are a 5-minute walk away, and Dogo Giyaman Glass Museum is a 10-minute walk. Matsuyama Castle is about 3 km away. The hotel is a 30-minute tram ride from JR Matsuyama Train Station and a 40-minute bus ride from Matsuyama Airport. On-site parking is free.

Guests can relax and unwind with a massage, or enjoy with footbath within the hotel’s peaceful garden. Free wired internet access is provided in the lobby. Japanese cuisine is served at Aoigoke Restaurant, and tea and coffee can be enjoyed at Garden Terrace Komorebi.

    Habitación amplia, una perfecta mezcla entre nuevo y antiguo. Precioso jardín. Buenos salones. Personal muy amable. Perfecta ubicación. Desayuno estupendo. Spa muy agradable

    Rooms are very large: more a suite. Wonderful onsen: wooden stools and bowls, no plastic here. Wonderful indoor and outdoor pools. Very helpful pleasant staff. Footbath in garden is gorgeous. On main tram routes and next to the Dogo Onsen so easy to get around town. Luxurious, sparkling clean and comfortable.

    The breakfast were great. We tried both Japanese and Western breakfast for the 2 days that we stayed and it was delicious. The staff that brought us to our room don't speak English but she use her phone to translate and communicate with us. It was very thoughtful of her.

    Super clean and large rooms. Warm & welcoming staff. The onsen was really nice & clean. The garden is an oasis of tranquility. It was nice that we had a balcony and could open the windows. The location was right in Dogo Onsen and it was nice that one could walk around in the Yukata in the town and visit other onsen. The breakfast was really nice.

    Kiseiki dinner & breakfast were so nice. our Japanese-style room for 4 is comfortable and spacious. the garden itself can be one of tourist spot. staffs are friendly & helpful. Onsen is one of the best we had been to.

    The hotel which located next to the Dogo tram station is very accessible. The rooms are clean and cozy. We really enjoy the breakfast and Onsen. The food is fantastic and exceeds our expectation. The stay at Funaya is definitely the highlight of our trip.
