    Emma and Graham are very friendly and accomodating hosts. The breakfast offers everything you could possibly think of, and all of it is fresh. The evenings and overnight are peaceful and quiet.

    The loveliest landlady in the whole British Empire. Fabulous breakfast in an amazingly beautiful cottage which had been renovated with as much taste as hindsight. That’s all real, all pure, all done with love and respect for their heritage as well as their customers: Just one of the best places to stay in Scotland. For sure the best spot on Islay.

    The guesthouse has a fabulous range of local and high quality produce. The breakfasts are made with their own eggs, bread and jam and they have wonderful platters of meat, cheese and seafood you can have in the evening. The rooms are so comfortable and the communal areas beautifully finished and relaxing. Above all, the hosts are excellent. Both Graeme and Emma are attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. They were happy to phone ahead to distilleries, give us ideas for itineraries and make recommendations for other places to visit and eat. If we go back to Islay, we won’t stay anywhere else!
