Las estación de tren y de autobuses más cercanas se encuentran a unos 5 minutos a pie. El aeropuerto de Poprad se halla a 20 minutos en coche.

    I quite like historic hotels and this one didn't disappoint. The hotel and the furnishings in the common areas are indeed grand and reminiscent of a different era. The atmosphere truly does encourage you to just slow down and relax over a coffee or a drink at the bar. The hotel is in a great location and just a few steps away from many good restaurants and the Hrebienok funicular. It's also located between Štrbské Pleso and Tatranská Lomnica and is only a short drive (or train ride) to either town, so it's very conveniently located for hiking. (The train station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.) Parking at the hotel was easy and convenient. As expected, the breakfast buffet had a wide range of options and was quite good.

    Location is perfect. Everything in Stary Smokovec is just a few meters away. Staff was friendly and helpful.

    Everything was just fine. The location is excellent, 2 minutes walking to a cable car to Hrebienok, from where you have access to many hiking trails. Room was spacious, perfectly clean & bed super comfy. The staff was extraordinary friendly. Breakfast buffet rich & food delicious.

    The hotel is beautiful, loads of history everywhere, but very modern and comfortable. Easy access everywhere in the mountains, good wellness, very comfortable bar and playroom with pool. Amazing food, had breakfast and dinner buffet style throughout.

    Huge rooms - great pool and spa area - nice breakfast - only a few meters to the funicular train taking you up the mountain to where the hikes start

    Centrally located, a hotel with a history. The spa was good and massage really relaxing. Big rooms. Good breakfast as well.

    Period property with real charm and history, good value, excellent location, good dining options, helpful staff. If your trip brings you to the High Tatras, is definitely recommend it. We have been travelling around Eastern Europe & this is well worth inclusion on the itinerary.
