    We’ve stayed there four times over the last few years and it’s always consistent. Really loved the bed this time - it was huge and incredibly comfortable.

    We were disappointed with breakfast. The fruit was sour. There was not a lot of choice and the table looked drab and uninviting. The cooked breakfast was good value. We enjoyed our hotel stay but the bar staff were not friendly and the drinks were very expensive.

    I have stayed at the Dukes Head and the Greyhound and prefer the Greyhound due to it’s location.

    Friendly staff : Clean, quality linen and bedding : Excellent mattress : Our room and En suite were very clean, although (single) shower control a little basic. Very good breakfast with sufficient choice (see below). The management of this hotel are to be congratulated for honing in on what its' target guests would be looking for. Will most certainly stay here again. Equally, we believe that this would be an ideal hotel for business users.

    Food, including dinner and breakfast was very good. Location was trip down memory lane - my husband and I were married at the Church next door some 56 years ago!!

    The window table overlooking the village pond was calming. The staff were extremely attentive. The food was delicious and hot.
