Situated within the Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape and offering an intimate Big 5 experience, these luxury lodges feature exclusive furnishings and private terraces. Safari trips with rich game-viewing opportunities are offered on site.

The spacious Hlosi Game Lodge suites all provide air conditioning and a fridge. All rooms have a bath.

Guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, barbecues and laundry facilities. Hlosi Lodge can arrange babysitting services and airport shuttles. A children’s safari programme is also organised on site.

Two daily game drives are included in the rates at Hlosi Game Lodge, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

Addo Horse Trails and Schotia Safaris are both less than 35 km from this grassland retreat.

    It was amazing. Saw giraffe from our window. Absolutely great experience. Our ranger Edison was showed a lot of animals during the game drive.

    Absolutely perfect stay. Amazing room, comfy bed & good WiFi in rooms (each hut has its own WiFi box) Great shower & a bath that looks out onto the reserve. Saw giraffes, zebra, elephants, and many antelope from our room. We saw 4 of the big 5 on our safaris. The guides are soooo knowledgable. Blankets, snacks, wine provided! Also a special thank you for going the extra mile with catering for me (I’m vegan). I basically got to choose what I wanted to eat while I was there. All the food was amazing for me and my meat-eating partner.

    Elvis was very welcoming. Due to a winter visit, we worried tents would be cold...but heater & linen made room toasty warm. Stunning tent setups. Breakfast had a great selection. Andrew was a fantastic ranger, lots of additional information given and 2 brilliant game viewing experiences.

    The luxury tents were a fun way to experience safari. The bedrooms and bathroom were of a very high quality. The food was good and our ranger, Andrew, excellent. On our last day, he went in hot pursuit of a cheetah, which we saw up close! Highlight of the trip!

    Tents were luxurious and comfortable. There's nothing quite like an outside shower under the stars. Staff were helpful, attentive and friendly. Game drives were amazing and our Game Ranger (Stanley) was fun, friendly, knowledgeable and really made our visit. Family of elephants drinking from the swimming pool.

    The safaris with the "Bush Love" were awesome, we saw many animals and learned a lot. The food from the restaurant was delicious and the bar was always open. The animals coming to the pool was a really nice surprise. Decorations were great. The daycare service made our visit possible. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our daughter!
