    When we arrived we got a clean room but the view was terrible. Lucky for us, we could upgrade for 30 euro per night to a very nice room with a view over the water instead of the bicycle parking. Perfect room for me and my wife. It was very easy to get from the hotel to the city center. We walked and used the ferry.

    Great location, easy access by ferry or bus to centre. Staff were great and our room overlooked the water. Fantastic stay!

    The view of the room was beautiful! Staff was super friendly and always happy to help us The rooms were light and clean Food and the drinks at the Café were delicious (I live close by so I will definitely drop in more often with friends!) Additionally, the hotel offers breakfast until 17.00 which is a big plus as well. The rooms were also very quiet I can highly recommend Hotel Pontsteiger!

    Staff are young, enthusiastic and friendly. The rooms have everything they need, except that the windowless room I got had just a few coat hangers on a rail inside the bathroom, not exactly the best place to keep your clothes if you want to keep them dry! The junior suite had the rail in the room. (cf pics) The junior suite I got for my third night (only after insisting and complaining about the shoe box I was in the first 2 nights), was excellent. The restaurant is cosy, has a very nice, covered outdoors area, including a great lounge area with blankets and all, ideal even on a rainy day, for those who love to sip a cocktail at night breathing some fresh air and sitting by the water side. The food is good, though a tad pricy for Dutch standards. It's a 30' walk from the station, or a 7' ride on bus 48, which is really handy. It's away from the busy city centre, but bare in mind that comes with there being hardly any shops or restaurants around.

    At check-in I was told to have a free upgrade from deluxe room to suite. It was a very pleasant stay in a fantastic room!

    The hotel is new, so everything was working and the room was super clean. we ordered a pizza which turned out to be very delicious, so i guess their restaurant is all good.
