    Room is clean and big, quite cool on hot nights even though there is no air-con. A welcome drink is superb for us bikers.

    Not sure why, but I got to sleep in a little private room even though I had booked a shared room. The futon was very comfortable with nice sheets. I chose a Yuzu tea as my free welcome drink and it was delicious! I guess that's to be expected from a hostel that is actually a Café. I also liked the style of the Café itself with a lot of wooden elements. Sadly I arrived too late and left too early to see it busy with people, or to try anything from their menu, besides the welcome drink.

    Great place to stay after cycling Shimanami Kaido. Great place to stay before cycling Tobishima Kaido.

    I love the ambience of the cafe below the guesthouse and that we had free access to it after hours. The owner was very helpful in helping us source for a way back to Onomichi after our tired legs couldn’t ride anymore.

    Macchi guest house was so lovely. The cafe downstairs is beautiful and the free welcome coffee we got was some of the best I've had in Japan. The host was so friendly and accommodated our lack of Japanese. The space was very nice and traditional, and we had a great night. Would come back!!

    We were welcomed with a free drink during checkin and could enjoy a quiet night in this cozy hostel. The woodwork in the 1st floor is impressive and the owner did a really good job in renovating the building that has become a hostel recently.

    The place was great, very well located between the port and the train station. Comfortable and with all the amenities you could want for a overnight stay. The receptionist was also really nice.

    We got a private room even though we didn't expect one, and it was comfortable but quite small. The staff was very nice! And you get a free cup of coffee or tea if you come in before a certain time :)

    The cafe was really nice and we were able to use it even after close. There was no key code to get back in or key to worry about carrying.

    Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Nachts könnten wir die Fahrräder sicher im Haus unterstellen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
