    Set in the most picturesque location, this lodge is absolutely amazing. The hospitality of the owners was fantastic, everything exceeded our expectations. Highly, recommended, cannot wait to go back!

    Mackaya Bella is a truly wonderful place to stay. The lodge is situated on a hill top in the valley and ensures amazing views on the surrounding mountains. Lyn and Pat are incredible hosts, they are such warm and nice people that you feel comfortable and cosy right away. After a rewarding hike (there are many nice hikes nearby) and a delicious diner at the lodge you can look at the stars on their deck while you enjoy the warmth of a crackling fire.

    Fabulous guesthouse in the most amazing location. Easy access to well marked walks in Monk’s Cowl. Also walks on the property. Food and hospitality wonderful.

    Location. Personal attention from owners. Attention to detail. Clean and well maintained. Seclusion and being fully immersed in nature. Breakfast and dinner served was amazing! Fast and reliable Wifi.

    What an hidden diamond!! One of the best stay we ever stayed at, and we have travelled to more than 50 countries. A beautiful lodge with spectacular view over the mountains. Wonderful location with so much to do around. Very good hikes. New furnished and cosy cottages. Excellent food is served for breakfast and dinner. And the best of all - OUTSTANDING hospitality. Don’t consider staying anywhere else in Drakensberg! We can’t wait to go back!! Loves from Sofia and Jonas
