    The view and rustic simplicity, and the owner is very friendly and interesting to talk to. The private balcony from the bedroom would have been perfect if we had been staying longer.

    Choice of breakfasts on offer - very nicely cooked. Hospitality of hostess was welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort. Quality of mattresses on beds were excellent in both rooms and ensured a restful night's sleep. View for location was beautiful and tranquil.

    Accommodations were spotless. We had the room with the California King bed which was very comfortable. The above bonus question about the food and drink information on Booking.com did not apply as the booking was made by the concierge at Sofitel. Our flight arrived late and there were no rooms available in the Gatwick vicinity

    Breakfast was sufficient and served by a very friendly hostess, the location was exceptional with wonderful views across Ashdown Forest towards Lewis. The accommodation consisted of a large sitting room with views, a very roomy bedroom containing the most comfortable super king bed we have ever had with an on-suite.
