    Shabby chic décor and overall experience plus beautiful location marks this place out as a gem. Walks were lovely and varied with stunning scenery. Evening meals were sumptuous and complemented with a good wine list. Packed lunches were simple but yummy.

    Fantastic location with good walking direct from the hotel, which does the ‘chic shabby’ style to perfection. The packed lunches (made with the home made bread) were a great idea and the evening meals sumptuous. Would have loved to stay longer than our two days and linger over a good book in the one of the two cosy sitting rooms.

    Location is remote, down a single track road for a few kilometers. However, when you are there, you don't want to leave anyway. Best part of the visit was the amazing on-site restaurant. The best food we had in 3 weeks of travel in Scotland. This is a country retreat where you can tramp around to your heart's content, then enjoy a great dinner. Wonderful.
