    The Bed & Breakfast is really charming. Rob’s place feels authentic a little bit away from the heat and noise of Rio while not being that far away (10 mins walk to center of Botafogo) and easily accessible by Uber. Rob is very kind and will spend time with you trying to help you at its best to make your stay in Rio memorable. Breakfasts are good. Everything is fresh!

    Centrally located, O Veleiro was easy to get to the more touristy spots with a taxi, while being close to the restaurants and bars in Botafogo. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a lovely pool/garden area with basic kitchen facilities (great for enjoying evening drinks and snacks). Our host was welcoming with plenty of facts and humourous stories and provided us with delicious breakfasts (a different freshly squeezed fruit juice every morning!).

    Rob and Richard are great hosts! Their accommodation is located in a very beautiful and calm place, close to the nature but at the same time 3 minutes by car from the center of Botafogo where we were able to find good restaurants, drugstores and etc.

    Good location in a calmer really nice area of Botafogo but near all main attractions (walking distance or cheap & quick uber ride). The main plus is the host(s) who made me feel at home straight away. The recommendations are personalised and given from a local perspective. Another important note is safety which I appreciated greatly as a female solo traveler. Thank you Richard!

    Richard is a great host, always happy to help and give advices. Great breakfast : more food than you can eat (3 kinds of bread, fruit juice, tea, coffee and milk, yogurts, eggs, ham and cheese, fruits...). Not far from subway (15/20 min). Easy to get a Uber or Taxi. International airport: 30 to 45 minutes (traffic). We saw small monkeys, birds and butterflies. Safe place. Safer in room, hot water and great WiFi. Nice little swimming pool and great outside chill out area.

    Nice place with a pool and very calm- if you search for a relaxing stay in the middle of rio that’s the place. Full with trees and flowers and a nice living room to chill.
