The guesthouse is quite basic, but had everything we needed. Their terraces overlooking the Mekong are perfect to sit in the evening and enjoy a drink. It’s located on the main street, with plenty of restaurants nearby.
Helpful manager, I arrived late and had a bit of a currency conversion problem which he sorted out for me.
View of the Mekong and Chiang Khong on the Thai side of the border.
Close to good restaurants(Gec Ko recommended for Lao coffee) and Gibbon Experience office.

The manager was very helpful and even arranged transport for the next day.

Nice position, choice between ac or fan equipped rooms. Probably one of the best options in the village

Nice place to stay, is clean enough and in good location for the gibbon experience!

Great value for the price. Had aircon even though we didn't book it. The first hot shower in a long while. The view from the common terrace onto the river and a great Buddha Statue on the other side in Thailand and a beautiful sunset were amazing. The room was spacious and clean. Great value for the price. Other travellers were nice and chatty.

Mr Yo on reception spoke excellent English and was really helpful. Of course you pay commission on boat and bus tickets but it's lower than many places down the street and he's supporting village children at secondary school. Theres a good bookshop/mobile library project in town thats worth a look.
