Set in an elegant castle by the River Vuoksi, Scandic Imatran Valtionhotelli is centrally located in Imatra. It offers many relaxation options, such as an indoor swimming pool area with hot tubs, warm rock beds and saunas.

Guests at Scandic Imatran Valtionhotelli can choose either rooms in the castle or modern rooms in the park building. There is an underground passage connecting the 2 buildings. All rooms feature satellite TV channels, ironing facilities and a hairdryer. The superior rooms offer tea/coffee making facilities and bathrobes.

Guests can also enjoy tasty meals at the Restaurant Linnasali.

Nature lovers can visit the magnificent Imatrankoski rapids and Kruununpuisto park, which are just 300 metres from Scandic Imatran Valtionhotelli. Guests can also take a cruise on the River Vuoksi or Lake Saimaa.

    Breakfast was good and versatile like in all Scandic hotels. Pivotal location in regards to Imatra rapids and the town centre.

    It was particularly lovely to stay in the old part of the building, an air from the past. Room was fabulously spacious with a little entrance hall, which I liked. Breakfast plentiful, nothing lacking.

    Really friendly, helpful staff. Lovely lounges where you can enjoy a drink, read a book etc. Fantastic location next to the river. The spa is nice, spent quite some time in the jacuzzi. Bed was most comfortable I've slept in in a while. Nice shower.

    Nice location in the city centre and along the famous rapids - nice countryside, free basic bikes. At least one sauna (separate men and women), small pool and two whirpools are included + fitness (I did not try it). Breakfast was good but the coffee terrible.

    The breakfast was absolutely great, I didn't use either sauna or pool. The temperature in the room was OK, and the surroundings of the hotel is amazing.

    stayed only one night , breakfast was great (there is also great selection of gluten free options) , casttle is really cool !

    The new building is good. The room in it is very-very clean and comfortable! They even gave a baby pot.
