- great location - great view (from room on 3rd floor which did not overlook the street as my parents room on first floor did) - no elevator (my mum is in poor health and struggles with stairs .. how can a hotel with such a hefty price tag not have a small lift for the elderly guests??)

A beautiful weekend getaway. Only 1 hour from Munich lies the stunning Seehotel Luitpold. Located right next to the lake the rooms hold a stunning view. We were even able to change our room to include a balcony upon arrival. It is recommended to call ahead to express your wishes. The staff is super friendly and they provide a high quality service. The hotel has beautiful clean and modern rooms. Pets are allowed here with a surcharge. The breakfast is outstanding and the staff ensures to keep you satisfied by constantly asking whether everything is fine. The Lakeside Bar is open until 01 am on Saturdays and provides great cocktails and drinks. The bartenders are very attentive and welcoming. All in all it was an outstanding stay and we will definitely come back.

Stunning view from the balcony. Excellent beer. Superb staff. Lake front. See sauna 200 meters to the right. Tegernsee brauhaus 800 meters to the left. All round excellent.

Staff at the hotel is really nice and helpful, the bar/restaurant is amazing! View from the room was beautiful. I really recommend Luitpold Seehotel, I'll definitely come back next year!

The ambiance of this 100 year old hotel, totally restored, located directly on the Tegernsee. Easy walking to the Brewery, downtown, and the train station. The owner and all the staff filled all my wishes smilingly. I can only compare the service to be the same as the best 5 Star Hotels I have been in Switzerland. Quiet ambiance and professionalism. I had my first Spinatknoedel .... to die for! The food and drinks were surprisingly reasonable.
