    This was an excellent accommodation. It was spacious, comfortable, modern/ even stylish and provided several unexpected extras (the large and beautiful kitchen to prepare meals). Everything was perfectly clean. The staff friendly. The perfect place for a stay in SF with a good price for value.

    Loved our room with the seating area. Loved how firm the bed was. Loved the tower fan in the bedroom as well as the usb chargers and white noise machine. Loved the happy hour our 1st night. Staff were all great! The kitchen was great.

    Very impressive mansion with beautiful architectural features such as wood panelling, very high ceilings and even a chandelier at reception reputed to be from Gone With the Wind. An oversized clean, comfortable if somewhat spartan room and huge bathroom. Very friendly check in girl. Located in a great neighbourhood near Alamo Square, terrific for walking and feeling part of the city.

    Huge comfortable beds, fantastic communal kitchen and great location next to the painted ladies and the park. The neighbourhood was within walking distance to all of the great bars and restaurants in Hayes Valley. I loved the communal feel of this hotel mixed with high end luxury - a nice change to your standard hotel.

    It is actually a mansion, a real mansion, the one pope used to live when visiting San Francisco.

    The old building is kind of magic and has a lot of shared space. The rooms are big for SF standards and have a vintage feeling. The location is great, right next to the Painted Ladies and 10’ walking from the nicest neighborhood in the city (Hayes Valley).
