Beautiful location, nice breakfast and friendly host. Just near Lake Lyell which is beautiful at all times or the day whether sunset, day time or sunrise. I wish we’d had more time to spend there. Loved the option to buy some souvenirs and produce.

The croissants were delicious, good quality coffee in the lounge and for breakfast. Comfortable room with great views! Lots of animals around and plenty of bird life to enjoy. A quiet place at a great location.

A very secluded location, you need a car to get to this property as there is no public transport close by. As a working farm there are opportunities to buy farm raised produce and even go for horse rides. Make sure that you bring anything you would like with you such as snacks and drinks as there are no shops or even a corner store within walking distance, though they do have food and drink to buy on the property. Wish we had of had more time here, as it would be a nice place to relax and watch the sunset over the mountains.

We were greeted by Marjorie when we arrived, lovely lady. Our room was the queen with a black four poster bed and a beautiful view of the valley through the bay window. Made a cup of tea in a beautiful bone China cup and saucer. Dinner was melt in the mouth lamb shanks with fresh vegetables and a glass of red wine. Beds are comfortable and room nice and airy. Bathroom is across the hallway with heated towel rails and a three in one heater etc. If going in Winter like we did, make sure you take a warm robe and slippers. Shower is nice and hot. Breakfast next morning was nice and basic with warm pastries, cereals, juices & yoghurt, tea and coffee. Some warm milk would have been nice for the cereal. Would stay again no problems. No road noise... just peace and quiet.
