    Everything. Sougia was our idea of a quiet Cretan beach location with just enough tavernas and bars. The local walks were wonderful (we walked the Lissos Gorge to the Ancient site and took the water taxi back). Syia hotel was run by very friendly staff and our room was spotless and airy. The beds were comfortable Breakfast was excellent value. We very much enjoyed our 4 day stay and would stay there again.

    Clean, comfortable, every amenity, such as electricity, wifi, shower, worked. The room was spacious and there were places to put/hang things, The hosts were welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

    I loved it here.It's the best place to stay in Sougia. We stayed for 4 nights. It has a great feel and the family who own the hotel are wonderful. Stay here you won't be disappointed!! We had an apartment that was towards the back of the hotel. The place had a great feel to it. The locations was fabulous.

    After months of travel we loved the simply perfect quite village and local people. Clean roomy, aircon space with views, bottle of wine on arrival and locally made soap on departure. Hosts were very helpful. Sougia is a peaceful village with nudism tolerated on the East end of the long pebbly beach. Stay awhile and watch the moon rise above the water. Good tavernas and local music.

    I enjoyed this lovely hotel so much that I stayed for an extra week! The rooms are large and bright, airy, and immaculate, with plenty of storage and nice decor. Very comfortable beds, and a well equipped kitchen with good quality pots, pans, and dishes. Air conditioning, and fast internet. There is a comfortable lounge area in the main part of the hotel and a nice, wide patio. The staff is kind, friendly, and gave great recommendations for day trips and places to explore, with an exceptional knowledge of the history of the area. I loved the location, its a short walk to the beach and just off the beaten path, so very quiet and peaceful. Souiga is a wonderful village, there are 2 small markets with great produce and lots of natural and local products, and fabulous restaurants. The pebble beach is not too crowded, and there are boat excursions and great hiking in the area. Definitely the nicest hotel in Sougia, a great choice!

    Very friendly and helpful staff; clean and spacious apartment with comfortable beds; good value for money; staff really helpfully did a load of washing for us for a reasonable price (very helpful on a long trip).

    Markos ans staff were very pleasant and helpful with providing lots of information on local transport, places to eat & accessibility to Gorge walks in the surrounding areas. We'd love to have spent more time in Syia but our trip was mapped out for this visit but we will return again next year.
