    Breakfast was surprising - far more choice than usual for a pub stay, good quality local produce and very accommodating if you've got dietary requirements. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful. In the old section Room 10 is amazing, in the newer section the rooms are pleasant and I would have liked a bath but there really isn't room to put one in the bathrooms. If you will be using lots of taxis - they need to come from a village about 4 miles away so I'd recommend booking them as they can get very busy. We were at Stanstead Mountfitchet for a wedding and caught several taxis - it's not a cheap option but they are efficient, the drivers were all very chatty and know the area very well. Would definitely rebook - lovely little pub, in a lovely location with great staff and fab food at a reasonable price - hope to have chance to go back.

    Breakfast was really lovely and bar open till late. Was 1 lady running breakfast and she did very well and was accommodating. Beds were super comfy and rooms nice and warm.

    Staff were very friendly on our arrival. The pub itself was very cosy. Corridor on the way to the accommodation are needs a bit of tlc. Bedroom was comfortable with a lovely comfy bed. Plenty of room in the wardrobe. Meal in the restaurant was good value for money and very tasty. Breakfast was very large and delicious
