    Location is excellent. Best to avoid rooms over the High Street. Looks, and is quaint.

    Nothing at all, had to climb a narrow spiral metal outside stair case to get to the room, My age is 70 and my wife is 65 I should have been warned in advance of this dangerous entrance to the room

    I stayed one night as Saffron Walden relatively close to Stansted Airport. Cross Keys was in the town centre and the long term parking was 5 minutes walk through a street opposite the pub. The room was comfortable and dinner well priced and well cooked. I did not have breakfast. Staff were helpful.

    Good room out in the courtyard which was a converted barn or warehouse. Good evening meal, better than an ordinary pub and quite innovative. Close to town centre. Drop off space at the side but no onsite parking. Parking in Swan Meadows, CB10 1DA.

    The Cross Keys is lovely but on a very busy road, the noise from the pub below and road made sleeping very difficult - I would stay again if it wasn’t for the noise and lack of sleep

    Excellent dinner and breakfast and our bedroom that must have been older than the USA was fun although a bit noisy (from the High Street traffic). However a great experience with a high standard of toiletries; towels and bed linen
