    The room was good. The food and restaurant/bar staff very good and there was a good atmosphere in the bar.

    Old pub but the bedrooms had been modernised and were excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Food very good.

    The room was very comfortable with lots of windows to open for a cool night's sleep. The shower was large and a wonderful experience in the morning. Breakfast was made to order and deicious. Staff were friendly and happy to do anything to improve our stay. Food was of a high standard. We would happily stay there again.

    A proper village pub, friendly, good atmosphere, great food. Very attentive staff. Well appointed room, clean and tidy, tastefully furnished.

    This is a brilliant "hidden gem"! It was an overnight stop on our journey north through Scotland. The pub wasn't open when we arrived but we were welcomed in, shown our lovely room and immediately offered a drink from the bar. Down we went with the intention of having a quick one before back to the room - however, the beer was very good, the company was friendly, one turned in to several then dinner was served. The food was excellent, and, as an added bonus, live music from the local band (The Average White Van Band!!) - catch them if you can!! A tremendous stop over - highly recommended!
