    Breakfast was good, though had to wait over half an hour after ordering, need to ask for more hot tea and coffee. Dinner was excellent.

    The owners have for very odd priorities - room has a big flat screen TV and lots of colour coordinated cushions, but no curtains or blinds (just damaged blind holders/rails) damp patches on the walls and a mildewed shower with ancient yellowing shower tray. Staff efficient but not welcoming or friendly (“do you want to pay by cash or card” rather than welcome or hello was typical). No milk in room and no apology when asking for some. Bar popular with locals watching sky sport but room was reasonably quiet. Well situated in lovely village.

    The family room was ideal for us with separate space for the kids (age 6 & 9). The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We ate in the restaurant the first night, which was perfect - good food and very well looked after, despite it getting quite late in a pub environment, we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was also excellent. Location was great, lovely little village and very close to Loch Lomond and Trossachs. Handy supermarket across the road. All four of us loved it and the kids are already asking when we can go back.

    All the staff were excellent. Very accommodating, even turned pizza oven on after kitchen was closed. Catered for nut allergic guests, chef made fresh pancakes from raw ingredients rather than serving premade ones to minimise risk. Family room generously sized.
