    Lovely property, beautiful room, and a welcoming host. Great to also have access to the kitchen to prepare drinks and coffee. We couldn't fault the place at all - we really enjoyed staying here. It felt like a real family-run guest house in a lovely setting with a short walk into town.

    Suzette is the most amazing, caring host. She made my parents stay PERFECT to say the least and was very helpful and attentive. The complimentary croissants and coffee in the morning was a fantastic bonus and the ground floor room was very spacious. My parents would love to return.

    So quaint with wonderful touches. The fresh croissants served in the morning were wonderful to take with coffee on the upstairs veranda overlooking the ocean. A an extra treat was the foam bath and bath supplied with their wonderful tubs- obviously to be enjoyed sparingly in Cape Town!

    Great location, the view from the balcony was just breathtaking. The room was amazingly comfortable, décor of the whole place is stunning, plenty of small details to admire- good place for fans of charming style

    I prefer places with a bit of history and sense of belonging, rather than generic hotels, so this has always been my go-to place in Kalk Bay, even before the renovations. It's a lovely old Victorian house with a balcony and views of the bay. The new owners did an excellent job at renovating and refurbishing the house - it is in a different league altogether and all the rooms now have on suite bathrooms - but they've maintained a reasonable approach to pricing. Great works of art on the walls, my favourite is a painting by Cape Town-based artist Henk Serfontein. I usually park my car just outside the house and then walk to Kalk Bay's restaurants, book shops and galleries.

    The view - and being upgraded. WE came to spread my sisters ashes so it was a hard time for us. waking up to that sunrise was a treat!
