    I booked a night for my husband's birthday because he loves adventurous things. The owners are very friendly and inviting. The place is so outrageously decorated, everything is interesting. The whole place was basically ours to explore after the normal operating hours. I highly recommend booking a room and exploring after the tourists have left. It's close to all sorts of amazing museums and restaurants. You can take a quick walk to the metro if you need to go anywhere else in the area. It was like staying at your rich eccentric friend's house. We really felt like we were at home, but with adventure added. Definitely want to stay again.

    Funky place. For non-business travel if you don’t mind being inconvenienced by little details could be fun unusual experience. However, for business travel it is awful. Hard to get in and out of building at odd hours. No easy way to check in or out. Hard to find your way around the labyrinth (it is like the Winchester Mystery House owned by an orderly hoarder). No mirror in the room or easy to use mirror in the bathroom. Almost impossible to stand in front of sink so tight. Hot water takes forever to come. Need to climb 5 stairs to get to shower stall. Door to room does not lock. No place to hang clothes. No room refrigerator. So many pillows on the bed took five minutes to clear it...

    We were lucky and stayed in the Rosa Parks House across the street. We had the Versailles room on the top floor.

    The hotel is in the center of Dupont Circle, close to metro, walking and so on. The street is residential. Garbage trucks, which are not their fault, are busy in the middle of the night. it is definitely an eccentric stay. You have quite a bit of privacy. Security, I am not so sure about

    Lugar muy ecléctico con un ambiente cálido y acogedor - disfrutó mucho el breve tiempo que tuve para explorar el lugar. Definitivamente quiero volver con amigos y pasar algún tiempo de ocio conociendo el lugar.
