    The staff were amazing The room could have had more food and snacks It was very expensive for no lunch or dinner The wine tour wasn’t really a tour it was just a taste The breakfast was very good The rooms were small The amenities and the products were amazing Again the staff were amazing. We didn’t see our host again after the first day but he was great Grateful for the access to the amenities before check in The refilling of the mini bar

    You will not truly appreciate how great this place is until you stay here. A bit strange for an American when a whole place slows down this much but wow. They do call it The Retreat

    Tout était parfait, nous avions choisi la suite Lava.... la vue était magique, le rituel avec les soins très agréable...petit déjeuner extra, accueil et petite attention (champagne et chocolat) extra... sans oublier le petit plus de profiter du Blue Lagon en partie privée... excellent.

    I decided after much thought to treat myself to spending one night at the retreat. It was so worth it! From the minute you arrive, you are welcomed and well taken care of. I can say enough about this amazing retreat. I stayed on the 2nd floor facing the lava fields. It was so peaceful. There's also a large tub that can be filled with the lagoon water which the front desk can help you with. The room is large and you will feel pampered. I loved the more private pools as well. You can walk around in your robes too in the lobby area. I fortunately had a beautiful warm day to go into the outdoor pools. (August 2019). You do not need to leave the property. There are on-site restaurants. Breakfast is included and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend staying here if you can swing it. I'm in my mid 60s so I treated myself. It was the best decision. I only wish that I could have afforded to stay two nights. You will feel totally relaxed.

    Best shower in any hotel. Friendly Staff trying to please. Gorgeous lobby and architecture, food is excellent including a breakfast like no other in Iceland and a very good dining, the Michelin star restaurant Moss. Room views and space is good. Of course Spa and Lagoon are relaxing.
