    It is a quirky and characterful hotel and very Malaysian.. so not just another hotel that could be anywhere. It's close to great bars. The showers are fab. The lighting is good. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in KL. And it has a fantastic tree in the Yard.

    First of all, The Yard is incredible value for money! The room though not huge, is very well laid out, you really have all you need and close at hand. Shower and toilet are "screened off" smartly, and the whole experience is one of casual stay, sort of home away from home. The other big "plus" is the location in a bohemian, artistic enclave just one street away from the garish Jalan Alor strip of night food hawkers in KL's Bukit Bintang district. It is a very cool, hip neighborhood with its own distinct identity, something welcome in a city that can be a bit soul-less at times, due to unbridled development and wanton destruction of the old.
