    Top location, very cozy room, everything's clean, but, as always, beware of the stairs, which is common for the entire (old) town.

    Barbara was wonderful. This lovely woman dragged our suitcases all the way up the stairs one at time! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. She arranged for someone to bring our suitcases down the stairs when we left. She walked us to the main square and showed us restaurants, cafes and and an easier way to get to the Central Station. The room and the bathroom were very clean.

    The location was amazing and the host - Barbara - was so welcoming and lovely. Very comfortable beds and considering the fact it was a smoke friendly hotel it did not smell at all.

    The location is fantastic - to the right of the door is the craziness of the Red Light District but turn to the left and you're in the middle of a lovely residential area. Lots of great cafes (try Bake my Day for pasties and coffee), coffee shops and the wonderful markets right on the doorstep on Sundays. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep, this is fairly common in the middle of Amsterdam but not great for large suitcases or those not able bodied. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it for couples or friends.

    Communication was excellent, especially as there was a national rail strike on our intended arrival date so we had to re-arrange arrival times. Our pleasant host was very helpful and informative. Location is just off Dam Square (100 metres or so) and only another 100 metres to Red Light District, so central location yes, but not always the quietest area. Tea and coffee making in room which was nice, as were the small presents for my girlfriend's birthday. Security was good as you needed 3 keys to access property and into your room. The nearby steak restaurant called CAU was recommended and was very good and not stupidly expensive.

    The location is perfect, great place for 2 persons to stay there. Barbara is excellent host, willing to share any kind of information the guest needs.

    Perfect location, all you need in room for short trip. Smoking in the room is a huge bonus !
