    Location was great close to underground and Islamic Cairo. Sense of faded grandeur .. its quirky. Hotels driver George was a good companion.

    The hotel is like stepping back in time (in a good way). The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful offering g advice and help if needed. The room was spacious with good air conditioning. One of the hotel’s highlights is the bar- comfortably one of the best bars I have ever had the pleasure of drinking in.

    Without question my absolute favourite hotel. The staff are wonderful, the place is dripping with colonial charm and the comfortable and charming lounge is a haven from the hot, bustling city.

    Nice furnitures and generally well preserved object from colonial period. Something like a jump back in time, worth a visit. Receptions kind and helpful...cleaning room guy too. And if you get the chance to meet the owner of the hotel he will also be very pleasant.

    This is a super historic monument and well worth staying at. The location is good and when the new Metro station is finished Windsor will be even better situated. Wouldn't have missed this hotel. Nearly all the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We travelled 4 days with Windsor's Philip Anis in his Mercedes. That was the kind of Cairo freedom we were looking for.

    The Windsor is really a one of a kind place. If you can accept 50ies-style facilities you will have lovely experience. the Bar is cozy and cheap too!

    The Windsor Hotel has a charming 19th century atmosphere. The location is very good: The Hotel is in the down town and it is possible to reach a lot of interesting places (Egyptian Museum, Tahrir Square..) by walking. We were very lucky to meet Samir Fayek, a taxi driver and touristic guide - a trustworthy and kind person - who gave us a lot of information about all touristic activities and took fur us a tour to the pyramides. Samir picked us up at the airport and he told us about the best place to eat and to do shopping; he gave us the idea to do a one-day trip to Alexandria by train, which we enjoyed a lot. He was always honest about the price and he speaks a very good english. We recommend to contact him if you are staying at the Windsor Hotel.
