    Staff were exceptionally friendly and showed me around the hotel and took me to my room. Always ready with a smile and a chat. Not had this level of service in a long time.

    Bar/dining room very good basic menu but food very good and hot, plenty of buses to York and back right outside the door

    Excellent staff facilities and location. It was well placed for York racecourse ( conference) and city centre. Good car parking facilities. Manager, sorry forgot name, very friendly and helpful. Would stay again next time visiting York

    Just lovely place & staff were very helpful & friendly very clean the pool was warm the steam room & gym was all good very impressed with the whole place

    The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean and location was great for a short walk to city centre our room was dated but clean and spacious. .the pool was heated and open from 7am to 9pm we didn't use the pool but plenty did x we did not eat at the hotel as we were up and out early experiencing the delight of the city.car park is safe and cheap at £5 a night

    We arrived late but that wasn't an issue with reception at all.the receptionist showed us to our room pointed out all the facilities and made us aware of breakfast times.
