    History of the property fascinating. It's the oldest hostelry in Scotland and I expected the bedroom to be ancient but not so. Luxurious and modern....bathrobe provided and even dog blanket, bowl and treats. Breakfast was HUGE and I couldn't finish it

    The live music on a Friday night was excellent and the bar had a nice vibe. Beer was good too.

    From the time we booked in we were made to feel so welcome staff were very nice and nothing was to much trouble the owner also was very nice and again very welcoming food was lovely great atmosphere

    Excellent welcome from friendly and helpful staff. Entrance to the hotel bit needed a bit of a clean- but overall would definitely stay again

    Parking is on the public road. When we could park outside the room, this was an excellent spot.
