    Everything was perfect, staff were very attentive, great parking and very spacious rooms, we had dinner on the evening and that was very good value for money and fabulous, breakfast was all very fresh and delicious. Nothing was to much trouble for anyone, we would certainly use again if in the area and definitely would recommend it :-) thank you for a lovely warm Scottish welcome and start to our holiday! Bonus was the yummy homemade shortbread in our room :-))

    Lovely evening meal and comfy sleep after a couple of pints. Breakfast was delicious especially as the ‘full Scottish’ included Stornoway black pudding. The morning was spent very leisurely as checkout is not as early as other hotels we have stayed in.

    Lovely, friendly staff. Sat us near the toy corner as they knew we had young kids with us which was brilliant. Room was big, comfortable and had a lovely view. Kids loved the bunk beds. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Really lovely stay, highly recommended.

    Carfraemill is situated in a peaceful countryside location and is ideal as a base for visiting Edinburgh as well as the surrounding area. It is an old building with some modern extensions. The room was a good size and had all the facilities you would need plus a bath/shower room with toilet and basin. The décor is a little dated and maybe in need of a facelift, but everything was quite clean. The staff are very friendly and the food (breakfast and evening) was excellent. A nice touch in the restaurant was the children's play corners, which were well stocked with toys and books to keep the kids occupied while you enjoy your meal.

    The breakfast and evening meals were lovely and filling, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar also had a good variety of beer. WiFi throughout was great.
