    We got the upgrade to the room with the castle view which was super nice! Room is big in Japanese standards. There is a massage chair and face mask for ladies available. There's a shopping center with the restaurants and a grocery store downstairs, so everything is near.

    I was upgraded from City view room to Castle view room for free. The view of the castle was fantastic! Very beautiful when lit up at night as well. Interestingly, the hotel room also provided a free smartphone to use which had unlimited data and google apps (and would wipe off your data on your checkout date). The hotel is directly opposite the Wakayama Castle and the Koen-mae bus stop which takes you directly to Marina City or JR Wakayama. Also in the same building which has a small mall, some restaurants and a Family Mart.

    breakfast was great! a lot of Western and Asian food. The castleview was amazing. busstop in front of the hotel. friendly staff and a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood. clean.

    The room is large enough to be able to move around the bed, worth mentioning in Japan. Helpful staff gave us information about local restaurants. Car park nearby, reasonably priced and with in / out privilege for 24h. The stunning part was when we opened the curtains after entering the room... the hotel overlooks Wakayama park and castle. An amazing view, particularly during the sakura season, as we could enjoy it. Wakayama is a nice town, worth exploring (along with the nearby strawberry farms), and this hotel make for a good base for a few days.

    The staff are really helpful and guide us how to park the car opposite the hotel. Then recommended us where to have ramen.
