Servicio excelente. Las trabajadoras dan un servicio impecable. No he probado ningún otro de estilo japonés pero este para ser nuestro primero, perfecto.

The biggest thing we liked about Gyokutei was...... Our Hostess - Akami!! She made our stay one of our favourite places! She made us feel welcomed and her smile made our stay more relaxing. She also did her best to translate from Japanese to English. The food - dinner & breakfast - 10/10 The room - we wanted a traditional Japanese Inn (ryokan) and it ticked every box - 10/10 The Onsen - public and private - 10/10 The Hotel - 10/10 !! From the coy fish in the private pond. Public Onsen that is open till 12am. Endless Tea. Breakfast & Dinner served in you room which over looks the pond. Overall it was a great place to unwind and relax.

Very good room service. Traditional Japanese family hotel. Hot spring water bath is not private, but, most time, It is just you there. The spring water is cooler in the morning, hotter in the afternoon. The foods are wonderful.

Everything was wonderful. Easy access from the train station, super welcoming and friendly staff, amazing and unique food, large comfortable rooms, and superb onsen facilities (both in room and public). The service was impeccable at dinner and breakfast and the atmosphere could not have been more peaceful and relaxing. A fantastic experience all around.

Everything is exceptional. I am a big fan of ryokans so I love every aspect of the experience, just like enjoying a cup of delicious sencha sitting on the tatamis and watching the garden, I should say “contemplating the nature”. But here everything is refined and about luxury. The so kind young lady who took care of my comfort speaks English, so even if you don’t speak Japanese don’t be shy and enjoy the experience.

Lovely ryokan with beautiful garden. Our room was large and bright with sliding doors for direct access to the garden. It was spacious enough to offer separate areas for eating and sleeping which was great. Everybody we met was welcoming and very nice to us and our child- he had a great time feeding the fish in the pond with the owner in the morning. The owner came to thank us personally as soon as we settled in the room which was such a nice gesture. Traditional dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and very good quality. Very little English is spoken, but it was not an issue. We loved staying here!

A real experience at a genuine ryokutan complete with traditional costume for the staff and guests. The rooms were amazing with a real traditional atmosphere and the food was a real surprise - every dish a Japanese taste sensation - if you want a real old school Japanese experience then stay here - it’s expensive but worth it! Thank you
