    Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa. Leticia y Raul fueron muy atentos con nosotros y nos hicieron sentir en casa. La cabaña y el paraje son expectaculares, exactamente lo que buscamos.

    Amazing setting., the most fantastically hosts, amazing wildlife, best horse ride trip to see Mayan ruins- so safe with kids and non experienced riders. Excellent food at the cabanas. Raul should write a cook book!

    I liked everything about this place. From the birds chirping to nature walks one of them go to the river. They hammocks really great. The meals were outstanding as were the hosts and staff. Leticia and Raul were the perfect hosts. This place is perfect for people you want to relax and enjoy nature.

    This is the way to experience the jungle with most comforts of home, with very knowledgeable/experienced hosts that make you feel like you're staying with extended family who are always happy to see you - and this was exactly what we wanted, and we would definitely go back again! The meals served (breakfast and supper) were excellent. Everyone in my family has different dietary issues and they were able to accommodate all of us with delicious meals. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Cabanas were in a jungle setting - fell asleep listening to nightime jungle sounds.

    The staff were amazing. The hostess went out of her way to make what ever I wanted to do possibly. I wanted to do the ATM but I did not have water shoes, she made lots of phone calls and then had it arranged for our tour guide to stop. The people at the store knew I was coming and it was a quick in and out. There is no menu, but you are asked when you arrive if you have any food allergies or restrictions. All the meals were incredibly good and I could not of picked better choices. The grounds are beautiful and if you want to canoe the river, just ask, they will bring one down to the river for you. This is a eco lodge with solar power, so no air conditioning but the rooms are all mesh with a ceiling fan and two other fans. I was always comfortable

    The location was good, but road to the lodge is terrible, as the road is bad getting in or out is a slow process. So it seems that the owners want to capitalize on this by charging WAY too much for meals. We were able to eat at a nice restaurant in San Ignacio for half of what the Lodge charged.

    Lettie & Raol run & Manage the Macaw jungle lodge in perfect harmony. From pick up at the airport to drop off at ferry terminal our experience was second to none. All the staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless with little touches that made the jungle experience all the more enjoyable. In the middle of nowhere, this lodge would not suit if you are looking for late night party atmosphere. Trips were arranged for us by lettie and again her advice proved to be spot on.
