    "No 54" isn't just a number! ;-) Pat and Bill made us feel home the moment we entered this lovely place! Our room was large and clean and had some special features like the great shower or the TV in the Victorian canopy bed! We had some great chats with these fabulous hosts during breakfast or at a casual evening drink! They both have some good stories to tell and were really helpful when we organized our day trips. You just have to feel comfortable in this lovely furnished house with these lovely people! We will definitely come back to this extraordinary, maybe a bit unusal place on our next trip to Scotland!

    I booked No 54 as a surprise for my husband Kim and I's first wedding anniversary.Bill and Pat were the most exceptional hosts ... we had a flat tyre on the way and were very late checking in they were so caring and gave us a room upgrade to the four poster room to make up for our bad start to our anniversary and they also had a bottle of fizz to wish us a happy anniversary.They had recommended their favourite Italian restaurant when I asked for a recommendation in an email and it was superb.... they were so friendly we opted to stay another night and we will definitely be returning to stay at No 54 again .... the little touches meant a great deal ... we loved reading our personalised welcome letter that explained the art within our room and around the house ... the house was magnificent and it felt like we were staying with family and friends Xx

    From the moment we arrived we was made to feel like part of the family. Bill and Pat are a warm friendly hospitable couple. The room was fantastic, ensure facilities. Tea and coffee supplied in room. A lovely comfortable four poster bed, with a TV in the canopy. Healthy breakfast, with a number of options. Everyone ate together. Good transport links. Four hundred yards from the local train station. Five minute drive to the town centre. I will definitely be returning to Bill and Pat's.
