I would strongly recommend this place for anyone who would like to, not only visit, but also experience Rome! The building itself is piece of art with amazing architecture, paintings, original roman style ceiling and atmosphere, it is also situated with walking distance to all main attractions and just opposite to bus stop that leads to termini- main train station. The view from window is breathtaking! Also worth to mention is Ellena our host. She is a lovely lady who welcomed us with warmth and a bottle of delicious liquor- so kind of her:) breakfast was very good and different every day along with exceptional coffee. Ellena also prepared for us homemade tiramisu - the best I have eaten in my life:) I went there with my parents and we all were very happy about the place and we made great memories :) Grazie Ellena :)

If you want to stay with local people in one house, then this is your choice. It's a very big apartment divided into two parts, one is the guest house with a bed room and a sitting room completly seperated from the other part, where the house owner, a very kind old lady, lives in. Although share the same entrace, the guests can enjoy good privacy once they close the door of their part. Eleanor will prepare delicious breakfast every morning, and we loved very much the local desserts (such as lemon cake, tiramisu) made by herself. We also appreciated the places of interest suggested by Eleanor, so that we could look for Caravaggio's paintings in certain churches. The funny story told by Eleanor regarding the current owner of Galleria Doria Pamphilj also helped us better understood the famous house and the gallery.
