    It is a great house to stay with a larger group. The host is super friendly and responsive on messages and picked us up with a car, so we didn't need to carry our luggage up the hill. It is a lovely house, very Japanese style, beautiful view and from there you can make a great trip through the Hakone Area. The beds are quite hard, so be aware of that.

    Amazing to stay in a beautiful traditional Japanese home. The owner was very very helpful and friendly. The area was great to visit and we especially loved going to The Hakone Open-Air Museum.

    Excellent blended traditional and modern style house in good location in quieter part of Hakone. Convenient to train station although up an incline. Yoshi was very friendly and looked after us well by transporting luggage to and from the station.

    Comfy and homely hut. Super friendly host and do ask him for local attraction especially Onsen.. We had a great time..

    The place is very calm and quiet despite the railway being somewhat close to the property. There is a food store to grab some stuff for dinner, a few onsen bathes to relax and some places to eat in this beautiful small town around the Ohiradai station. The transport in the area is ok, but beware of the buses schedule. It might be troublesome to get back there late in the evening. Our host Yoshi was really helpful. He had been waiting for us at the train station and helped us to move our luggage to the property. There is a small first aid kit in the property, which happened to be very helpful during our stay. The kitchen was great, it was a pleasure to cook simple meals there.

    Yoshi met us at the train station on arrival and drove our bags up to the house after showing us the way on foot. He was very helpful and gave lots of advice about where to eat, how to get around and where good onsens were, even helping with bookings. There are a couple of small local restaurants, a convenience store and onsens near by. The whole house was ours to use and was clean and tidy. It is located in a pretty leafy area and it was very easy to get around Hakone to see the sights from here. Comfortable sheets and beds, handy to have a washing machine and full kitchen facilities to make breakfast (eggs and bread provided). This is a great house for a group or family to have a more private and traditional home stay experience than you would get in a larger hotel in Hakone.

    Yoshi responded quickly and met us on arrival and helped us with our bags. The house is very lovely and fit our two families perfectly. The Tenzan onsen he recommended was fantastic. Thank you for having us!

    Yoshi is the most amazing host I have ever encountered. He drove more than half an hour to come pick our luggage up while we continued to shop for ingredients for our BBQ, which he set up for us well in advance and bought all the supplies we needed. We were in constant contact and he was very quick to reply any questions I had. The property was situated in a very quiet and quaint neighbourhood with easy access to the Hakone railway. The house is well kept and roomy for all ten of us and Yoshi even bought eggs and bread for us in advance so we can have breakfast the next day. I would definitely return and recommend this to anyone who wants to have an awesome experience in Hakone.

    I liked how clean and fancy the house was. The kitchen, shower, bedrooms, bathrooms, and toilets were all fairly new and in great condition. It was the perfect size for 5 guests. The host was very friendly as he bought us plenty of eggs and bread so we made good use of the kitchen to cook ourselves breakfast. The host was also very responsive to provide advice and recommendations.
