    Quality of towels and. bed linen was exceptional The decor throughout is interesting and quite quirky The place is immaculate The food was great we had breakfast both mornings and a lovely evening meal on Saturday would recommend I am unable to have alcohol for health reasons and would have enjoyed an alcohol free wine but it wasn’t available this might be something the proprietor may consider stocking

    Very gently people. Fine restaurant and a excellent breakfast. A very interesting history both the house and surroundings. All my best recommandations.

    Hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Melrose, walking distance from the Abbey and local shops. Good access by train/ bus for those travelling without a car. Bedroom was comfortable and well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. Melrose is an attractive place with several beautiful gardens to visit, and a network of footpaths/ minor roads to the River Tweed, Abbotsford and the Eildon Hills.
