    The villa is wonderful! A little bit older style but nice and pretty clean and very spacious. Amazing en-suite bathrooms with stones on the shower floor - first time I saw something like that! Nura - the host is extremely friendly and helpful, he welcomed us with fresh coconuts and recommended some activities and trips.

    We really enjoyed meeting and talking with Ngurah. He was very friendly and helpful and gave us good advice about travel and music. His singing and guitar playing were beautiful. It was a pleasure to be in Penestanan village where the people were kind and the restaurants were very good.

    Open kitchen, nice garden, friendly service. The staff, Ngurah left us lots of fruits, biscuits and snacks in the kitchen. He also brought us strawberries from his trip to Bedugul which I thought was so kind. The kitchen has sufficient cooking equipment and utensils and there is a water dispenser. You can borrow their scooter which was great.

    The villa was perfect location for us. It was quiet and away from the busy streets of ubud. The place does need some modernisation but that is reflected on the price. It was clean, the beds were comfy and the pool was nice. The host was amazing, always a smile on his face, and would do anything for you. He kept our kids occupied for an hour playing the guitar while we unpacked and got sorted. We would definitely stay again.

    It’s a lovely self contained, detached villa with a private pool. The guy that manages it is charming and extremely helpful, and enhanced my birthday experience by spending a few hours with us playing guitar and singing along with my appalling attempt at English rock classics. It is set amongst the rice paddies on the outskirts of Ubud, so you get a totally different insight into the area. There are a couple of great restaurants and a basic but useful store within 5 minutes walk. We very much enjoyed our stay here away from the chaotic central Ubud.

    The Walet is a beautiful private oasis of calm. It is a private villa with its own pool, situated at the end of an ally adjacent to rice paddies. There are a few places to eat, drink, shop etc within short walking distance but away from the melé of Ubud. Ngurah was amazing; he was so helpful and respectful; a talented guitarist too!We could not have asked for more from our stay and highly recommend booking if you are like us and want some peace and quiet, but still be able to walk to places.

    the best thing about this place is the host, he is a very kind talented man, he helped alot and last thing he cared about is money, he took us with his skuter whereever we wanted and always refusing to take money, he provided very nice fruit, he knows a really nice and funny driver, that will help you do the best tour you want in ubud and help you even go to nusa pineda, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

    What I liked most about this place is the host - Ngurah, he went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we needed and to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this villa. I can not thank him enough for all he has done. He also made sure the place is equipped with everything we needed.
