    Mark and Louise are just the best hosts and really looked after us. The breakfast was wonderful and freshly cooked. Mark even gave us directions to help us see more of what we wanted on our trip. Staying here was better than our stay at the Hilton.

    Beautiful guess house, large rooms, high ceilings and immaculately clean. Our room was perfect! Met at the door by Mark and Louise who where a wealth of information about York and how to get in and out on public transport THE MOST DELICIOUS HOME COOKED! BREKFAST

    This was the first time I stayed at Blakeney House and I must say everything was impressive. Mark and Louise were great hosts from beginning to end . Our room was of a very high standard and very clean with some nice touches such as fresh cold milk and a good selection of individual teas and coffees. We had a great nights sleep: the area was quiet although it was only a mile from York city centre. Mark cooks an excellent breakfast with daily specials and Louise interacts well with their guests at each table
